Philippine Fashion Week S/S '13: Classic meets edgy

So I guess you're all tired of my runway entries. It's time for a breather, shall we? Finally, here's my long overdue outfit post! Also, here are "streetstyle" photos of the other bloggers and fashyown people during the event.

New found friends!

Team Iloilo FTW. :)

(Photos from Jadel and Ron)

L-R: JoshJadelRyanRei (aka Coco) and Marvoi.

Black, skulls and spikes! We were telling people that we are in some sort of cult or something because of our outfits. HAHA

Dinner at Soi.

What's for dinner? Seriously, these fried spring rolls are amazeballs! Especially the mango jam-like dip. I recommend you try these.

With designer Russell Villafuerte.

And designer Jun Jun Cambe.

And THE Daryl Chang. Ahh I super love her outfit!

Spot Alyssa Lapid. Definitely one of my fave bloggers. :)

Now on to my outfit...

I went for the classic black and white look but decided to spice it up by adding edgy elements to keep it interesting. I sort of drew inspiration from Holly Golightly (Audrey Hepburn) from Breakfast at Tiffany's and added my personal touch to it. I can see this outfit with a modern and edgier Holly or is it just me?

Black sleeveless cropped top from Forever 21

Leopard print oversized envelope clutch from SM Department Store

I added a pop of print to break the monotony of my outfit. This leopard print oversized clutch (which I use as a laptop case most of the time) is purrfect! Function + Fashion = Fierce.

Leopard print belt from Topshop | Gold bangle and ring from a local accessories store

I cinched my waist with a matching leopard belt to add shape.

Spike hoop earrings from a local accessories store

I love these bad-ass babies!

White chiffon pleated midi-skirt from It's Vintage Darling

The vertical electric pleats of the skirt gave me the illusion of having a slender figure. Just what I needed! I so badly want to be a teeny bit taller. Thank God for electric pleats and heels!

Black sheer floral cover up from It's Vintage Darling

I had to wear this cover up because it was chilly. It's perfect because I can still show off my low-back cropped top at the same, the floral prints are very visible against my skin.

Black platform booties from a stall at the local mall

P.S. Stay tuned for a couple more posts about the remaining collections and another outfit post during the PhFW! I will blog about the Iloilo Designers Week really soon. As of now, I'm busy preparing for another fashion event, a photoshoot and of course, schoolwork. Ack I badly need to learn time management!

Keep posted. :)
