Bjorn Manila goes to Iloilo for KalsadaPH!

Iloilo was privileged to be included as one of the key cities in the KalsadaPH project by photographer slash blogger extraordinaire Bjorn Bedayo of bjornmanila. He has worked with various famous magazines here in the Philippines and is also one of the ambassadors of SM Youth. The goal of the project is to capture authentic streetstyle of Filipinos from different cities all over the country which will be featured on a website by December 2013 and published into a book by 2014.

For Day 1, I went super edgy yet I was still able to withstand the crazy weather. This is another Lua-inspired outfit. If you've been reading my blog long enough, you'd know by now that Lua P. is my all-time favorite Lookbooker. *wink

I really like the mix of prints of this top because it's vintage-y and galactic at the same time. It kind of resembles the galaxy print (or probably watercolour?) in some parts. I'm still into galaxy prints until now. (Must.find.a.new.obsession.)

Ahh yes. I haven't gotten over sneaker wedges either. Whoops.

Now here's Day 2. A lot more people came to meet Bjorn for his last day in Iloilo. Designers included. :)

Bottom photo (L-R): Blogger Tisha, Designer Rico, Famous Designer Bo Parcon and Bjorn Bedayo (Bjorn Manila)

Mandatory photo-op with the awesome Bjorn. I opted for androgyny for comfort but I wore wedges because I always need that extra lift. Haha. Anyway, I'm so honored and proud to have been able to take part in this project. He is such an inspiration for us. KalsadaPH will truly help put our city on the map as one of the leading fashionable cities in the country. Iloilo City has been slowly adapting and accepting fashion with all these homegrown talented designers and individuals and I must say, the city's future in fashion is very bright.

It's Vintage Darling printed top | Uniqlo long cardigan | Sneaker wedges from a Mall Bazaar | DIY studded high-waisted shorts and ripped stockings | Jewelry from a local accessories store (SNM) | Topshop bowler hat | Backpack from mom

You may hype.vote this look on Lookbook and Chictopia!

Bjorn and his mom braved the heavy rain and strong wind when they visited Iloilo last August 12-13. My fellow bloggers and I met up with them and brought them to the popular spots here in the city. We didn't find that much people because of the bad weather. Most of them were not dressed up since they were in school/work uniforms. But still, there was a decent number of fashionistas who got their pictures taken so yes, KalsadaPH Iloilo leg was a success. :)
