Razzle dazzle

Hi everyone! Do you still remember me? Sorry, I went MIA again. I'm currently not at my best due to some personal problems but I had to put this post up or else I'll be screwed. Anyway, Edressy sent this dress to me a few weeks ago and yes, I was finally able to take some photos. I was supposed to wear this dress to the CM prom which I was invited to judge but unfortunately, I wasn't able to come. I had to leave for Manila because of school related stuff. I will talk more about that soon. :)

Since it's prom season here in the Philippines, here's a look that is definitely prom-worthy.

The CM prom's theme was 1920s/The great gatsby. Coincidently, the Skimmers' (my academic org) prom had the same theme (hence, the title of this post). I could've worn this dress to either of them if I was able to attend.

I paired the dress with my nude heels and gold accessories since I thought they looked good together. Don't you think?

The dress didn't fit me quite well but it was all good. I love the sequined top and deep opening in front. It's sexy but without showing too much.

The ruffled skirt is what makes this dress theme-appropriate. When you think of 1920s, fringe is the first to come to mind. But ruffles can be a great alternative to fringe especially if it's layered.

What do you think about this look? Did I achieve the 1920s theme? Let me know in the comments section below. :)
