I know it's almost the end of January but better late than never! Sorry for the delay, I had a couple of posts that need to be up first. Anyway, here's how I celebrated New Year's Eve with my family at home.
Me with my younger siblings. Yes, I'm the eldest but it seems like I'm the youngest ha ha.
Mandatory family photo op.
Kinder chocolate! My favorite!
I filmed a video and tried editing it but I failed. I'm kinda new to it so I don't think it's ready to be posted anytime sooner. I was supposed to share it in this post as well as my Youtube channel. Maybe next time. :)
Here are photo stills from the video:
My family and I traditionally wear polka dots during New Year's Eve because according to my mom, it symbolizes money and gives the possibility of more wealth in the upcoming year. This year, I decided to wear something different and the things that first came to mind are sequins and galaxy print. I initially planned to wear something glittery but I already did that during Christmas.
I like how this top still resemble polka dots even though they're actually sequins. It's as if I'm still wearing polka dots for NYE. I guess I'm not a total rebel eh? :)
Galaxy prints are very trendy right now. I thought it was perfect for the occasion since they looked like fireworks.
I couldn't decide on what shoes to wear so I tried this pink platforms first. It matches well with the colors of the skirt and brings out its playfulness vibe. I topped it off with silver jewelry and I was good to go!

So here's my second outfit choice. I changed a few pieces from my outfit and I went from girly to sporty/androgynous. I like this more than the first so I ended up wearing it for the rest of the party.
I don't usually wear hats or any head pieces but I do like wearing them once in a while. I borrowed my sister's beret because I thought it went well with my outfit.
Sneaker wedges are everywhere now! They're great because they give you more height just like any other heeled shoes but without the pain. They're surprisingly comfortable! I didn't like them at first but now I'm hooked. I'm already eyeing the other colors. :)
I prefer this than the first because it's more laid-back. It's definitely one of my fave outfits of the year.
Luxury mall has them too! I'm thinking of getting a new pair from them very soon. :)
Gray sequined beret from Call It Spring
How did you celebrate your New Year's Eve? Let me know in the comments section below.
I admit, I had a pretty rough start of the year but I'm hoping that things will get better soon. Anyway, I wish you all a very Happy New Year! It's never too late to greet, right? :)
P.S. Don't forget to join my Msdressy giveaway! It will end on January 31st. Good luck!
Take care everyone. :)
Awww our poor dog. She was so scared of the fireworks. We searched the entire house and found her huddled in this corner. So cute though!
