Fall 2012 Beauty trend report: Laid-back hair & make-up in binary hues

Who says fall season has to be dull? Most if not all of the designers are probably still not over summer, basing on the make-up and hair looks on the runway.

I know, I know I've said this countless times. We don't have fall season here but that doesn't mean we can't follow these trends, right? As long as they're toned down so they can be wearable and suitable for everyday use or perhaps for special occasions. If not, well we can still be inspired by them. :)

Christian Dior -- Matte & multi-toned lips, electric cat eyes with colored lashes, well-defined eyebrows and blunt-cut middle parts.

This look is definitely not for the faint-hearted. You must be bold enough to pull off bright eyes and lips at the same time. Still, this look simply screams fun so I guess it's perfect for parties or even just an ordinary day if you're feeling bright and happy. The middle-part hair balances the make-up look thus, not making it over the top.

Dries Van Noten -- Bright eyes, pinkish-nude lips and low-slung updos.

This look is still fun and young but a bit more subdued. The eyes are the only main focus since it is paired with pinkish-nude lips and topped off with low-slung updos to give it a laid-back vibe. This is perfect if you want to try something new with your make-up using a bright color without going crazy with it.

Narciso Rodriguez -- Look 1: Bare eyes and skin, earthy-orange, dark & dusty mauve, and deep crimson lips; Look 2: Chartreuse or orange with a bit of black on eyes and pinkish-nude lips. Both looks have high and tight in front, long in back updo; basically a cross between a mohawk and a mullet.

This look still has a hint of bright color but at a minimal level. You may choose to focus on your eyes or lips, keeping in mind that when either one is in a bright color, the other must be in a light or nude color. To set a balance, the rest of the face must be completely bare with the hair sleekly pulled back to give emphasis to the make-up look.

Rochas -- Soft eye using gold and amethyst colors, deep berry lips and a dual-textured, ladylike coif.

Now this look is the most wearable and versatile of all. It can be used for everyday and for any occasion whether day or night. Deep berry lips are always big during fall season along with soft gold and amethyst colors on the eyes. Top it off with a textured coif and you're good to go.

I really like the 3rd and last look because they're more of my style. I might do make-up tutorials soon if I can. Anyway, I just wanted to post a beauty trend update since I haven't done any yet. What's your favorite look? Would you try it? Tell me in the comments section below. :)

P.S. I'm doing another haul, a site review and more outfit posts so watch out for those! Sorry for the lack of updates recently. I've been busy going back and forth here (in Iloilo) and in Manila and also keeping up with schoolwork (thesis is eating up most of my time!). Plus, I'm also thinking of ways to revive our online shop.

I hope you don't forget about this blog. Heeee. I'm doing my best to keep this updated. ;)
Take care everyone!
