Philippine Fashion Week S/S '13: Vintage lover

This is my last post about PhFW. All in all, it was a really great experience! I'm glad my friends and I went; this was my first and definitely not the last! I can't wait for the next season. :)

Here are photos of some featured designers/brands.

Elegant Escada girls.

Pop art!

Colorful girls of Michael Kors.

Men in black.

(Photos by me)

And of course, streetstyle photos of fashyown and fab people! My blogger friends Coco and Ryan.

I met THE Lookbook famous Karl Leuterio. Cool beans!

With my designer friend Marvoi.

We met THE awesome Vania Romoff! I LOVE her collection. Read my post about it here.

It's time for outfit shots!

So I noticed that most people sported the current trends with the exception of few brave individuals. These people were not afraid to do their own thing and set themselves apart from the crowd. I also wanted to stand out and since I love vintage clothes (check out our online shop It's Vintage Darling!), I came up with this ensemble. As I was looking through my photos, I realized I look a bit matronly. That was not the look I was aiming for but my outfit's color palette gave off a grandma-ish vibe. Anyway, I still like it because it's unexpected and unconventional. Did I pull it off? What better way to stand out from the crowd, right?

I'm actually wearing culottes/skorts not a midi-skirt. Unpredictable, huh? :)

I look even smaller when I wear long bottoms. The solution? Nude heels. They give the illusion of longer legs since they blend with your skin tone.

Glittery gold polo top from It's Vintage Darling | Gold necklace from a local accessories store

I absolutely love this top! It can go from day to night and casual to dressy.

Thrifted brown leather sling bag

I went all out with my vintage theme and used this thrifted brown bag. Weirdly, it reminds me of Pocahontas.

Gold bangles and huge flower connector ring from a local accessories store

Printed culottes/skorts from It's Vintage Darling | Brown leather belt from SM Department Store

I'm actually thinking of selling these culottes on our online shop.

Nude caged heels from a stall at the local mall

P.S. Iloilo Designers Week (IDW) posts are up next! I have a very exciting photoshoot later at 8AM (It's currently 4AM yikes!) which I'll blog about very soon. Stay tuned!

Keep posted. :)
